BATON ROUGE, La. — The first game of college baseball’s series of the year lived up to its considerable billing. No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Texas A&M played with intensity and largely played well, though not flawlessly. The Thursday night crowd of 10,822 got louder as the game went on, and by the late innings the atmosphere was electric, especially during the tension-crammed ninth inning.
