WAREHAM, Mass. — Donnie Walton is having a ball this summer, spending his days at the beach and his nights playing baseball in the Cape Cod League. It’s hard to beat that. But the Oklahoma State shortstop thought he’d be riding buses across the Northwest League or the New York-Penn League right now. He did not expect to be playing in the Cape.
