The freshman class that arrived on North Carolina State’s campus in the fall of 2011 was one of the greatest in school history. Trea Turner and Carlos Rodon were instant stars, of course, and Brett Austin was an unsigned supplemental first-round pick out of high school who became an All-American catcher by the time he was a junior.
