CWS Finale Postponed Until Thursday

Game Three of the CWS Finals between Coastal Carolina and Arizona was postponed until Thursday at 12:08 p.m. CT due to stormy weather. No CWS game has ever been played as late in the calendar as June 30.

Wednesday’s delay featured a brief rain shower, but it was mostly three hours of waiting in dry conditions. Periodic lightning strikes kept pushing back the estimated start time, and finally the game was postponed at 9:31 CT, two hours and 23 minutes after the scheduled start time.
