Georgia (5-1) turned heads last weekend by taking a series from perennial power Florida State. The Seminoles took the opener 7-5 but the Bulldogs stormed back to take both sides of a doubleheader, 4-1 and 10-5.

The series win sent notice around the south that Scott Stricklin’s squad was improved compared to last year’s 26-29-1 club. The initial season for Georgia was an adjustment as Stricklin replaced long-time Bulldog coach Dave Perno. His second season appears to be progressing nicely.
